Sex and the City : 2.5/5
The movie dragged...it was way too long at almost 2.5 hours and
nothing much really happens. Some of the clothes and accessories were
quite ridiculous too.

I liked the movie. There's quite a bit of nudity and profanity but that doesn't stop it from being a sweet movie at its core.

The first movie I watched in its entirety on the tiny but clear screen of the touch. Love the movie! The music is very good and doesn't feel shoehorned into the movie unlike some movie musicals. While the plot is very simple, it doesn't detract from the story of the kindred souls. Listen to the song Falling Slowly, which I think won the academy award for best song.

This was a Japanese movie about the heroism of a dog, Mari, in the
2004 Niigata earthquake in Japan. Although the story is supposedly
based on a true story, I think a lot of the story was changed,
including adding new characters, such as a little girl, and making
everything more dramatic than it actually was. The movie was meant to
tug at your heartstrings, and I have to say I am a sucker for these
kinds of movies. In the movie, Mari had helped to keep the
grandfather and his granddaughter alive after their home collapsed
during the 2004 earthquake. But when the grandfather and
granddaughter were evacuated, they had to leave Mari and her three
puppies behind.

A silly adventure-romantic comedy, starring Kate Hudson and Matthew
McConaughey. I guess the producers wanted the audience to be reminded
of the other romantic comedy (How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days) starring
both leads. This movie wasn't particularly good or romantic. Matthew
McConaughey was annoying and looked mostly unkempt, and seemed to get
beaten up a lot. Adventure bits at the end was quite fun, so overall
it was still reasonably enjoyable.

I enjoyed the movie. The animation was nothing much to shout about,
but the storyline and the martial arts sequences were enjoyable.
Can't go wrong with a kung-fu fighting and fat panda. I loved the
training sequences, reminiscent of the classic Chinese kung-fu movies
but with a twist. Even the beard of Master Shifu is just like the
long beard favored by the kung-fu masters of those old movies.

Funny but crude movie. Robert Downey Jr. was hilarious. The funniest
bits I think were at the start of the movie. It did drag a bit
towards the end. And the sight of Tom Cruise in costume defies
description.

An excellent heist movie based on a true story - a daring bank robbery
in London back in 1971. It also stars my favorite English tough guy,
Jason Statham. The background story is interesting:

A fluffy romantic comedy set in London, and populated by the usual
quirky characters. "True love is a process, not an event." I thought
it was funny that they had to explain at the start of the movie why
Brittany Murphy's accent was so inconsistent. Orlando Bloom and
Gwyneth Paltrow had funny cameos, and Santiago Cabrera was charming (a
lot better than as Isaac Mendenz in Heroes).

A bit of fluff. Not much in the way of plot, and the songs and
dancing weren't particularly memorable. But it was fun way to spend
about 2 hours. And Christopher Walken dancing is always cool.
